The peddler cafe

Found in the backroads of Nunawading, surrounded by residential houses, lays a little gem of the east. A fairly small sized cafe but full of rustic, antique decor and a selection of delicious dishes your stomach and eyes will both enjoy.

We went on a Friday mid-morning for a business meeting which carried through till the early afternoon. Not long after we got seated, people started to pile in. Eventually a small but eager line formed outside. Needless to say, this little cafe appears to have quite a good reputation in the area!

With an all day breakfast and a trendy lunch menu, once again we couldn't decide and splurged on three meals… just to make sure we covered all bases.

> Sweet Potato Spud - this is my new favourite dish! Topped with eggs and seasoned with dukkah, pumpkin seeds and goats cheese, this meal will go down well for breakfast, lunch, late lunch, dinner….. you get it.

>Sticky Pulled Pork Sliders - two ‘sliders’ but not the small size sliders you normally see. I especially liked the house-made sauce which has a hint of siracha chilli that adds a whole new dimension to the traditional taste of pulled pork.

>Green Tea Matcha Pancakes - topped with ice cream, raspberry compote, fresh

berries and even lychee we were lucky to get a picture of these pancakes before Dana got a hold of them!

With seating inside, outside and by the window the Peddler Cafe will be buzzing throughout all 6 of Melbourne’s weather seasons.
