TREE SURFING - Peninsula adventures

Updated: Aug 23, 2017

Anniversaries and special occasions are normally celebrated with champagne, cheese, and far too much food, but of course we like to do things a little different.

Feeling inspired by the recent Australia Ninja Warrior series, we couldn't pass up spending the only sunny day during Melbourne’s winter at the Enchanted Adventure Garden, more specifically, tree surfing.

Having booked online to secure our preferred time the process was simple and efficient and after a brief safety demonstration on the ‘practice course’ we were set off on our own.

Being the main attraction at the Gardens, you will find 5 different levels on the tree surfing. Starting at number 1 you slowly work your way up to greater heights and more challenging obstacles; my favourites - a Tarzan swing into a rope climbing wall and ziplines at the end of every course.

Having 2 hours free rein on the courses you can repeat your favourite or try them all. We thought that 2 hours would be plenty of time, but the time went very quickly and we only managed one round of each level.

Once we finished our tree surfing we walked around the Gardens checking out the tube slides, mazes and canopy walks. A great day out for both adults and kids and for the youngies, there is even a ‘nippers course’ so the whole family can join.

Making a day of it, we grabbed some brunch (what else) from #LANEWAYESPRESSO on Dromana foreshore; a lovely and busy cafe set out the back of an antique store.

Must haves:

- Smashing pumpkins

- Waffles with mixed glazed berries
